OK, so I am a Nerd...

Well, I have to admit that I am a big nerd. Most of you know I am a fan of cheesy 80's metal, and you can see from most of my artwork, I likes the horror movies. I am also a big time collector of comic books (going on 20 some years now) as well as action figures and Hot Wheels. If any of you have gone to a decent comic book store you will probably have heard of Previews. This is what my best friend calls the Nerd Bible. Basically it is a huge catalog that comes out monthly that you can pre-order comics, toys, clothes etc., all from your local comic book store. Anyhow its really cool, and a while back i thought I would send some artwork their way and see what happens (13 year old fanboy like, I know)....anyhow, check this ouy, 4th one down...[link]

I didn't know you designed goalie masks. My wife and I are huge hockey fans. We've had season tickets for years to our local UHL (now AHL) team. Our AHL team is a Calgary Flames farm team.

Our schedule is so busy this year though that we are going to miss at least half of our games, so we've dropped the full season package.

Also, I love Canada.

I go to Ontario every year to every other year for fishing.

That is so cool. I have spent a lot of money ordering stuff through Previews but it's been a while since I looked through one.

There is nothing geeky about 80's metal, comic books and horror movies! I couldn't live without them.

Yeah, right after college in the early 90's I got a job helping out a local goalie mask manufacturer do some display masks for the then new hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Some 10 years later I basically got burned out doing 5-10 helmets a week and decided to do something different...had fun for a while though and met a lot of big names and some not big yet guys and girls as well...(I will probably post some old pix in the future)

The goalie mask gig was cool at the time, but after 10 years or so, I really got sick of looking at them....check back for some pix sometime in the future

My appetite for comics really had to slow down a few years back, as it was costing me an arm and a leg...now I am really selective as to what I pick up and Previews really helps get me excited about what comes out in a month or two...and save me alot of money not buying anything that looks like crap!

i will leave this city and go to another one. i hope that i will meet someone. someone just for me. but if that special someone falls in love with me... i will have to leave that someone. even so, i want to meet that special someone.
